How Campfire Ministries was birthed
Campfire Ministries started through the vision of Milton and Wanda Dykes and their common interests in camping. We were married in April of 2009 and found that camping was a a great way to enjoy life. Our love story is unusual as we found second love after both of our first spouses passed….. That love grew through camping experiences beginning with tent camping and progressed to a pop-up, then class C motorhome and then on to the class A unit they now travel and camp in.
Their love for the Lord, each other, and fellow campers developed a passion that grew to a new ministry called Campfire Chaplains. Milton is an ordain minister of almost fifty years and is endorsed as a chaplain through U. S. Missions with the Assemblies of God Denomination.
We want to share with campers in National, State, and RV Parks across America.
